I can't even express how much fun I had with this sweet family! They came down to Portland and we explored the Pearl District for their family session.
Family photography is so fulfilling. It's always exciting meeting new families and being allowed to step into a very special bond and capture the relationships within. I instantly felt connected with this family - they were warm, kind and respectful. And as we spent time together, it was such a blast getting to know them and watching their personalities shine.
Elijah is a freshman in high school and is very sweet and respectful, and his little sister Jisella is in fourth grade and has such a fun personality and is brimming with confidence. Romulo and Brenda are wonderful parents and clearly a strong partnership, and their love for each other was adorable to witness (more than once I caught them canoodling out of the corner of my eye as I was shooting the kids).
And can I just say - hello style!! Shout out to mama Brenda - killing the fashion game. I already warned her that I'll be updating my Style Guide that I send to clients pre-shoot with photographs from their session (hehe). You want to see how to coordinate your outfits without being "matchy matchy", and how to create interest with layers and accessories, and how to be styled head to toe - this is it! Nailed it.
I can't wait to hang out with these four again soon! Such naturals in front of the camera, and just genuinely wonderful people.
